Overview

The client is a US based health insurance company. They wanted to make the insurance process transparent to their users by making the cost breakdowns associated with all medical procedures known, before the procedure was scheduled with a provider.

Problem/Objective

We needed to develop a solution where the users would be able to see an optimised list of medical service providers for their already prescribed procedures.

My Role

The requirements and the app flow were set in place. My role was to design the UX and UI, and to prototype.

The process in this project

The first step was to create low fidelity wireframes and then transform them into UI designs. After peer reviews, 3-4 iterations were done on the designs and some screens modified.

This project was done around the time iOS 14 had come out, and this project followed the same.

Scope

This project was an MVP Project. So it had a tight timeline and a limited scope. The complimentary portal to this app was to sit at the client side, which would read the QR code from this app and then pull the details from it.

Users

The users of this application were normal patients who would need any medical procedure. The user group was very versatile, with varying age group, statuses etc.

Outcomes

My major learning from this project was that I could to play with iOS 14 components and use them.
